EVN Macedonia & TAV Airports: e-vehicle charging stations now available at Skopje and Ohrid airports
11.12.2024
In alignment with their sustainability strategies and dedication to customer convenience, EVN Macedonia, in partnership with TAV Macedonia, are jointly introducing a new service: electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at Skopje and Ohrid Airports.
From now on passengers, customers, guests, and staff at Skopje International Airport and Ohrid St. Paul the Apostle Airport – will have an additional service and convenience available – four e-vehicle (EV) charging stations. This new advantage, that further enriches the offering at TAV Airports is enabled by EVN Macedonia and is also in line with both companies’ sustainability and continuous customer service improvement strategies.
The newly installed AC and DC EV charging stations are strategically located in the parking areas of both airports and can simultaneously charge up to eight electric vehicles—six at Skopje and two at Ohrid Airport.
"After being the first company to establish a nationwide electric vehicle charging infrastructure, we are now intensifying our efforts to expand a fast-charging network through strong business alliances and local community partnerships. Our cooperation with TAV Macedonia allows us to further support the mobility of EV owners, which is part of our long-term strategy. In addition to providing chargers in 18 different cities across the country, we are focusing on placing fast chargers along key travel corridors that drivers use for both national and international trips," stated Wolfgang Maier, Chairman of the EVN Macedonia Management Board.
The technical teams from both TAV Macedonia and EVN Macedonia collaborated this project, contributing to the broader mission of promoting environmental awareness. Alongside the environmental benefits, the introduction of EV charging stations underscores both companies’ commitment to innovation, customer satisfaction, and advancing corporate social responsibility for a sustainable future.
